ADC Austin and Websydian have joined forces in developing Websydian Web Developer+, which includes a long awaited Web Client for CA Plex. September 24, 2007; 07:42 AM AUSTIN, Texas, Sep. 20, 2007 --- The
new development tool enables CA Plex development shops to make direct
HTML deployment of existing applications without development, as well
as deployment of new applications in a standard J2EE Web server
environment.
With the product comes a set of advanced patterns to perform
sophisticated HTML templating and to integrate seamlessly with Web
services and features like mapping software or JavaScript.
Mikkel Schnack, sales and channels director of Websydian, says:
"Plex is a great model-based development tool, and for some years now
the market has been demanding a Web Client for Plex. So when ADC
approached us with an idea to join forces, we saw this as an
opportunity to meet this demand and enable Plex shops to make
applications accessible from the Web."
John Rhodes, principal architect and president of ADC Austin,
continues: "We are very pleased with Websydian Web Developer+. Plex
developers can gain full access to the Web for their applications, and
it also supports CA 2E applications that have been migrated to Plex via
the ADC Modernization Studio. 2E shops that are targeting SOA
strategies with IBM Websphere or Tomcat can especially benefit from
this technology."
Websydian Web Developer+ is in beta with select partners, and it
will be generally available in December 2007 through Websydian, ADC
Austin and a network of Websydian and CA partners world-wide.
