NMS Communications Demonstrates Developer Platforms for Mobile and IP Applications at Spring VON

The following will be showcased:

• Vision VoiceXML Server – rapid deployment of interactive voice and video applications. At VON, NMS will demonstrate its IMS-compatible Vision VoiceXML Server, which gives operators and application providers the ability to rapidly develop and deploy new, innovative voice and video applications for IP, PSTN and 3G-324M networks.

As examples of the types of applications and services being built with the Vision servers and gateways, a Voice SMS application and a high-quality mobile TV service with interactive features will be demonstrated.

• Vision Media Gateway and Signaling Server – a complete, scalable, highly available solution for VoIP application developers who need to connect their application or service to legacy PSTN networks. Scaling from as few as 48 ports to over 2000 ports, the Vision Media Gateway and Signaling Server support a broad range of IP-based enhanced services platforms via standard SIP signaling and RTP media transport. On the PSTN side, the solution can be configured for SS7 or ISDN signaling. By using the integrated call routing engine, call routing can be configured via simple tables or programmed in JavaScript, eliminating the need for a separate media gateway controller.
• Open Access™ MG 7000A – first commercially available AdvancedTCA solution for building a wealth of innovative, scalable, highly available applications. High-speed packet handling, multiple Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, high-density DSP media processing power, IP and optional T1/E1/J1 interfaces are combined in the MG 7000A. The result? A complete multimedia technology resource for a wide range of applications including IP media servers and converged, IMS ready solutions
