InterSystems showcases new Jalapeño technology for Java programmers in its Caché object database at QCon 2007

March 9, 2007; 03:02 AM

InterSystems will be showcasing its Caché object database with high-performance SQL, along with its new Jalapeño (JAva LAnguage PErsistence with NO mapping) technology at the first ever London QCON, an event aimed specifically at the Enterprise Software Development Community.

With Caché, software development cycles can be reduced by 40 percent, as Jalapeño eliminates object-relational mapping for Java programmers.  For example, recently IBM dramatically reduced their project development time from weeks to days by using Jalapeño’s mapless java persistence for one of their key, global customer services applications.

InterSystems, who also offer the Ensemble rapid integration software and HealthShare comprehensive health information exchange platform, are inviting partners, prospects, press and analysts to meet with it at its stand. At the stand, InterSystems will be demonstrating Caché’s interoperability and support for the various architecture communities at the show, including .NET, SOA, Agile, AJAX, and discussing the latest developments in the world of Java.  Attendees should make a particular note of the session being delivered by Philip Howard, research director at Bloor, on Friday, March 16 at 1pm, on ‘Why not to choose a relational database’.

“InterSystems is delighted to sponsor QCon 2007, because it is an event organised by the community, for the community,” said Graham Frost, Managing Director, Northern Europe at InterSystems. “The event is a great opportunity for leaders to discuss how technical creativity can enable business users to deliver value and provide benefits to their organisations. Ultimately, that’s what technology should always aim to achieve.”

The conference, organised jointly by InfoQ.com (Information Queue) and JAOO, will feature two tutorial days (March 12th and 13th) followed by three full conference days with multiple tracks. QCon is the result of 13 years of combined expertise between the two organisations. JAOO has been running in Denmark for 10 years and annually attracts over 1000 attendees. InfoQ.com is an independent online community focused on change and innovation in enterprise software development.
