union leaders attending the Credit Union Executives Society’s Executive
Technology Forum, March 5-7, 2007, at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador
Golf & Tennis Resort, Tucson, Ariz., will explore using the
Internet as a social medium to attract the next generation of members.
Matt
Dean, CEO, and Trey Reeme, EVP, Trabian, Plano, Texas, will offer
insights on how credit unions can take advantage of blogs, podcasts,
social networking Web sites and other forms of social media to capture
member trust and reach the elusive young adult market. Reeme commented,
“Personal communication with members is by no means a new concept;
however, credit unions need to learn how to translate their personality
and friendliness to an online world, and social media facilitates just
that.”
Dean and Reeme will also discuss the advantages of using open
source languages and framework, advances in interface design such as
unobtrusive JavaScript and AJAX and the future of the web.
“Web 2.0
and CUs: Using the Social Web to Reach Members in New Ways” is just
part of an agenda full of technology topics—each selected for their
value to IT professionals. All content is carefully selected using
input from the CUES Executive Technology Advisory Panel, a group of top
credit union technology executives.
Attendees who register by
February 9, 2007, will also receive $100 off their registration fee. To
