InfoZen Extends Credentialing and Risk Management Leadership with Launch of Next-Generation Automated Platform, RapidAdjudicator 2.0

October 4, 2006; 02:47 AM
InfoZen, Inc., a leading provider of consulting, engineering and risk assessment/management solutions, today announced the immediate availability of Version 2.0 of RapidAdjudicator, its next-generation credentialing and risk management platform.

RapidAdjudicator 2.0 is highly scalable, modular and configurable, resulting in a significantly expanded, yet customizable platform on which to build a wide range of identity management related screening and credentialing applications.

InfoZen designed and developed RapidAdjudicator as a platform for automating background check decision processes. The system accepts personal information and other related data as part of the application for credentials with national security sensitivity and related significance. From this information, the system generates requests to external data sources (e.g. criminal records, terrorist watch lists, immigration records, National Crime Information Center) and receives results that are aggregated with the other applicant data. The system scores the data automatically, and, when the business rules warrant, passes the cases to human analysts who evaluate the application and adjudicate accordingly. After a decision has been made, the system continues the credentialing activity by informing the applicant sponsoring authority about the decision. It can also generate written communication to the applicant.

Identity management and access control processes are key to the security of the nations infrastructure. This next generation of InfoZens credentialing and risk management platform is the ideal solution for government agencies, said Raj Ananthanpillai, chief executive officer at InfoZen. With the HSPD-12 deadline looming, agencies must act fast to enact a system for vetting and credentialing new and current employees. RapidAdjudicator 2.0 plays an important role in identity management and a version of it is currently used by the federal government.

As Congress and OMB place an increasing emphasis on security, identity management and access control solutions become an essential component in achieving HSPD-12 compliance, said Ray Bjorklund, senior vice president and chief knowledge officer of Federal Sources, Inc. An innovative technology solution like RapidAdjudicator can facilitate consistent, efficient, and auditable processes that can aid government agencies in meeting these challenges.

RapidAdjudicator 2.0 provides answers to these challenges by offering a customizable adjudication and credentialing platform with the explicit goals of:

1. Lowering the adjudication and credentialing cost

2. Allowing the screening process to scale appropriately

3. Automating the enforcement of adjudication and credentialing policies as well as the customization of these policies

4. Providing an auditable trail of decisions concerning an individual case

5. Finding the needle in the haystack by focusing the adjudication effort on meritorious cases

The salient technical characteristics of RapidAdjudicator 2.0 are:

1. A configurable, service-oriented architecture

2. JXDM-based data model

3. Built with de-facto industry standards such as Spring, Hibernate, JMS, AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) and JDK (Java Development Kit) 1.5

InfoZen also recently announced it attained the Software Engineering Institutes (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 2. This achievement marks a major milestone in the companys dedication to process improvement and best practices. The company was awarded a CMMI Maturity Level 2 rating by an independent SEI-authorized Lead Appraiser. The Maturity Level 2 rating specifically addresses InfoZens capability at conducting Requirements Management, Project Planning, Project Monitoring and Control, Measurement and Analysis, Process and Product Quality Assurance and Configuration Management in a way that ensures continuous improvement of insight into and control over project performance.

RapidAdjudicator is a pending trademark of InfoZen.
