JavaScriptSearch Freewebs.com, a free do-it-yourself Web publishing service, announced it has completed a series of advancements for its global base of 12 million users and 17 million unique visitors each month. Freewebs said that today’s announcement continues Freewebs’ progression from a provider of simple and easy site-building tools, to also providing a broad stage upon which site and content creators can gain global visibility and traffic. “One message we’ve heard loud and clear is that people creating websites want their sites to be seen, they want more visitors,” said Haroon Mokhtarzada, CEO of Freewebs. “We are making that a big part of our focus.” To achieve that, the new look harnesses AJAX technology and modern UI design to streamline the user experience and bring member-created content to the forefront. Leveraging people clouds, tag clouds, enhanced search and prominent content promotions on the homepage and other key screens, the new site is a step forward in Freewebs’ commitment to increasing the visibility of their sites, helping to introduce members’ sites to the more than 17 million unique visitors who visit Freewebs sites each month. “This is an important day in the history of Freewebs. We are combining our immensely popular Web publishing tools with a new and unique interface that encourages visitors to explore the millions of other sites created by Freewebs members.
