German software maker, telepark, introduced teamslide hosted, a no-download web application designed to help companies and individuals accelerate their sales cycles. Teamslide does so by expediting the presentation of PowerPoint-type slides to a single viewer or up to 10 viewers at once using nothing but a web browser across any platform, including Windows, Mac and Linux. The AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) based application increases personal productivity by enabling any user to give live web presentations on an ad hoc basis.

"teamslide hosted is the first AJAX-based, truly cross-platform and hosted web presentation solution. It is a very simple and inexpensive way to show PowerPoint-type slides to one or more viewers over a web browser for sales and project management purposes," said Patrick Thomas, CEO of telepark.

With teamslide hosted, small-business owners and freelance professionals can share web presentations with clients and associates and simultaneously converse with them over the phone. teamslide hosted is ideally suited for presentation-enhanced sales calls, online seminars, project status presentations and collaborative medical discussions.

teamslide said their service is much easier to use than other online applications that provide similar services and is 100% plug-in- and download-free. It features a simple, yet intuitive user interface designed to offer SME's real-world productivity gains and cut marketing/sales travel costs.

Remote Highlight: Get to the point

The Remote Highlight feature of teamslide hosted allows users to highlight key points in a slide. It supports both, a pointer type of highlight as well as the interactive drawing of a rectangular box around any slide area. All participants immediately see the moderators highlight, be it the pointer, the box or both simultaneously.

Remote URL: Live website link suggestions

With Remote URL, the presenter can send an arbitrary URL to all participants. They click the link to open the suggested web page in a new browser window- no security hassles, no active X, no big file download. Remote URL is a very handy feature to launch an external website such as an online press article or a Macromedia Flash presentation in parallel to a teamslide presentation.

Combine teamslide with Skype

teamslide hosted is the first cross-platform, AJAX-based web presentation solution to integrate the worlds leading Voice over IP (VoIP) provider, Skype. Participants can enter their Skype names for the presenter to call them over VoIP with a single click. teamslide presentation invitations can be sent as Skype instant messages as well as by email directly from within teamslide.

teamslide hosted is available on a subscription basis at a cost of US$ 35 for 3 months, US$ 60 for 6 months and US$ 99 for 12 months. Subscribers can upload an unlimited number of presentations with up to 20 MBytes each and have a total of 50 MBytes of webspace in total for presentations. They can give presentations to up to 10 participants.
