Safari Book Online Features New AJAX Interface and Functionalities

IT resource website Safari Books Online has been redesigned and features new AJAX interface and advanced functionalities.

The site implements an AJAX version of Books On Web ( BOW ) by  BvDEP,  which supports PDF books for viewing & search ( on top of XML books ). Safari Books Online has added more content through "Graphically Rich Books". Searching the book content works the same way as with existing books. These books are presented with the same page layout found in the printed book. Graphically Rich Books are being added in several different categories to the Safari Library.

Safari Book online was created in In July 2001,  when two of the world's most prominent technology publishers, O'Reilly Media and The Pearson Technology Group, joined forces to create a new joint venture.
