It has been almost two months since the first version of Edit In Place, and now author Joseph Scott has released the all new and improved v.0.2.0.  Although the JavaScript and CSS code has a long way to go to the coveted v.1.0, Edit in Place is a robust script that allows the "live" edditing of text in a web page.

Changes in the new version include bug fixes and a restructuring of the code. The 0.1.0 code did not deal with errors when a save attempt failed, and that has been fixed in 0.2.0. Now when a save attempt fails the original text is put back and an alert in displayed indicating that the changes were able to be saved.

Examples and downloads are available at http://josephscott.org/code/js/eip/ .  The code is free to download, use, and modify.
