Less than a week after the launch of Google Ajax Search API, a new website is online that has implemented it to create a simple example of the API's capabilities.  Zippily uses Javascript to show Google search results as the websites visitor types her keyword.

The interface of Zippily.com is very uncluttered, and it eliminates the advertising the search result pages.  Visitors can search for content on the web, in blogs, or in the form of videos.

Looking at the short source code, it is evident that creating such a minimalistic application is easy.  It is safe to predict to predict that soon Google Ajax Search API will be put to heavier-duty use.

The Google AJAX Search API is an experimental API that lets webmasters integrate a dynamic Google search module into web pages so visitors can mash up Google search results with other content on a website or add search results clippings to their own content.

Zippily.com: as simple as that.
