Vulnerabilite.com, a French-language security site, has created an AJAX website that lets users query various ports and services.  The full title of the webpage names it as a "Free Ports & Network Services Information Database."  The site is available at http://www.ports-services.com/ .

When the user types a port number in the search box, the page returns all network services (including trojans), that use the port.  The search works both ways - a text string search will return network services with names, including the text, and list them by the port number they use. This turns the website into a useful reference for the web enthusiast.

Clicking on a result triggers a slide effect revealing more information.  A Google query button is conveniently placed next to each entry.

The site uses the popular Script.aculo.us and Prototype JavaScript libraries.
