Localville.com Business Directory Goes Live in BetaOctober 10, 2007; 06:39 AM Louisville, KY (PRWEB) October 10, 2007 -- LeapFrog Interactive is pleased to announce that new online local business directory, Localville (http://www.localville.com/), has gone live in beta version this week. Local businesses will have several levels of listings to choose from, ranging from a free listing with minimal information to a Platinum account that will allow them to upload infomercial videos demonstrating the value of their business to potential customers. The site allows users to search or browse for local businesses, and provides information including a Google map to the location. Users can save their favorite local business listings, or save searches so that they can continue looking later. The site, which was built using AJAX and ASP.NET is both secure and stable, designed to provide maximum ease of usability for searchers. "What sets Localville apart from other business directories is that it was designed with both users and businesses in mind. We spent a lot of time and energy creating a user interface that was fun, intuitive, and offered features that will make finding local businesses an enjoyable and simple experience," said Daniel Knapp, president of LeapFrog Interactive, who developed the site. "We spent an equal amount of time creating a great advertising platform for businesses, with four different levels of service, the capability to upload video advertising, and a fifth level in the form of a customized plan that provides your business with exactly the listing information you need. Our goal with this beta release is to build up our database of businesses, and gather input from both users and advertisers on what we'll need to make this the best directory on the web at version 1.0." The database of businesses is still being developed. Localville recommends that if you have a business, you register now while the competition for listings in different categories and metro areas is still relatively low. Users are also encouraged to enter listings for their favorite local businesses, getting the word out about truly great local companies.
