August 7, 2007; 03:20 AM
LPI Level Platforms Inc., a leading managed services software platform vendor for solution providers, today announced the launch of Managed Workplace 6.0. This major release builds on the comprehensive, integrated, end-to-end managed services features that have established Managed Workplace as the standard in the industry, adding hundreds of new features including enhanced usability, security and performance; support for monitoring and management of Windows Vista; an all new reporting engine based on Microsoft SQL Reporting Services; and a new base architecture to support the future of managed services -- collaborative managed services.

More than 2,500 service providers in 26 countries use Managed Workplace as the technology platform to support their managed services businesses. Deep strategic relationships with Microsoft, Intel and Ingram Micro coupled with an expanding ecosystem of 60 complementary product vendors as well as a commitment to open standards have established Level Platforms as the clear platform of choice for managed services providers serving Microsoft centric, multi vendor small and mid-sized customer environments.

"The new reports are terrific," said Mark Carter, President of Communications and Technology Solutions a managed services provider in Athens, Georgia. "Our account managers can now provide our customer's CEOs and presidents quick and complete snapshots of their network status. These reports are a positive way of communicating the value of our managed services offerings."

New collaboration features now extend this open integration from vendors to peer-to-peer, end-customer and literally any third party integration that will help a managed services provider deliver a suite of unique services to their end customers. Version 6.0 includes the deepest integration available for the all of the leading professional service automation tools including, AutoTask, ConnectWise, Microsoft CRM and Tiger Paw as well as integration for the users of the popular OnForce web marketplace for technical services. As the most open product of its kind in the market, Managed Workplace integrates with the five leading backup vendors, six ticketing systems, all major security products, and over 100 other products and services, providing unsurpassed choice and opportunity for Partners of all sizes.

"We love the granular control you can give customer technicians to be able to view and clear alerts," said Brian Goddard President and Owner of gTECHserv based in Charlotte, North Carolina providing the nation with gFACTOR managed services. "These new collaboration features will extend our ability solidify our relationships with our customers in new and innovative ways."

"From security products to outsourced NOC services such as those provided by Ingram Micro, we provide an open ecosystem providing our Partners the flexibility to create any service they can imagine under their own managed services brand," said Dan Wensley, Vice President Partner Development at Level Platforms. "This should put any fears of commoditization of managed services to rest once and for all as we enter the era of mass customization based on collaborative services provisioning."

In conjunction with Managed Workplace 6.0, Level Platforms launched a new web site, an updated partner portal, a community based library for scripts and templates, enhanced partner program features and extensions to their award winning Partner business and technical training and support.

"The power of the global Level Platforms community is now really beginning to pay off with the new library of scripts and monitoring templates," said Andy Harper, CIO of Gaeltek based in Manassas Park, Virginia a managed services provider. "We are already sharing our collective expertise to generate benefits way beyond anything Level Platforms or any of its individual partners could do on their own."

"As managed services products and service offerings flood into the market, solution providers face a period of extraordinary threat and opportunity. Our open platform is the clear product-of-choice to exploit this surge of innovation," said Peter Sandiford, CEO Level Platforms. "Unlike the current generation of remote monitoring and management software products that assume a single model for managed services delivery, Managed Workplace is a true management platform. Our product has been built from the ground up to support the emerging collaboration model essential for success as the technology ecosystem embraces managed services. CompTIA has correctly identified this to be 'decade of managed services'. Level Platforms is the one product that every successful managed services provider will need to compete and win as the market dynamics of SMB managed services shift into high gear."

As with previous releases, all new features are available at no cost to Level Platforms Partners. And new partners can join the Level Platforms community risk-free with our money-back guarantee. To coincide with the launch of Managed Workplace 6.0 Level Platforms also announced the availability of attractive upgrade programs allowing existing managed service providers to migrate easily, and generally with no net new investment, to Level Platforms next generation collaborative managed services platform.
