MOTOROLA (booth 916) Platinum sponsor Motorola will showcase its MOTODEV Studio development environment along with its latest Linux-based handset portfolio, including: MOTORAZR2 V8, a next-generation RAZR that takes thin to the next level while offering a new, richer multimedia experience, MOTOROKR Z6, a music-optimized slim slider, and MOTOMING A1200, a smart and stylish touchscreen handset and China’s best-selling smartphone.

OPENBRAVO (booth 1308) Openbravo will launch the latest version (v2.3) of its market-leading web-based open source enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, which has been downloaded more than 250,000 times since it was introduced on SourceForge.net in April 2006. The new version has increased functionality and a new contemporary designed user interface, offering greater user efficiency and tighter control of key business processes.

OPEN VZ (.org Pavilion booth 12) The OpenVZ project will demonstrate for the first time what is possible using its virtualization software in combination with other virtual machine technology. The demo shows dividing one physical server into virtual servers using Parallels, Xen or VMware software, and then creating OpenVZ virtual environments inside those virtual machines -- effectively creating many virtual servers to improve utilization of the physical server.

PEARSON EDUCATION (booth 1527) Pearson Education will be releasing five new books at this year’s event: The Official Ubuntu Book, second edition, The Professional Ruby Collection: Mongrel, Rails Plugins, Rails Routing, Refactoring to REST, and Rubyisms, Enterprise Ajax: Strategies for Building High Performance Web Applications, RailsSpace: Building a Social Networking Website with Ruby on Rails™ and The Practice of System and Network Administration, second edition.

Capital expenditure savings from deploying the V-8000 can exceed 50 percent on day one, and operations savings can be up to 60 percent.

SERVEPATH (booth 1301) ServePath will unveil its newest line of rapidly scalable services, GoGrid™, which will provide instantly scalable web hosting and servers, with a first-ever graphical management interface and a pay-as-you-need pricing model to save organizations with rapid-growth websites time, money and hassles.

STORIX SOFTWARE (booth 939) Storix Software will introduce SBAdmin v6.2 (System Backup Administrator) offering TSM users centralized, full-system backup and “Adaptable System Recovery” (new and improved bare-metal restore) that enables quick and easy full-system restore onto the same or different hardware. SBAdmin v6.2 is the first alternative to SysBack and CBMR for full-system backup management and disaster recovery that integrates with Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM).
