Ibis Released a Full Browser ''ibisBrowser DX'' on Java MIDP for Technology PreviewJuly 27, 2007; 03:31 AM The special features of ibisBrowserDX High speed communication: ibisBrowserDX is a client/server type browser. Even on the mobile phone with lower memory and slower CPU, it runs comfortably since the operations (retrieving and compressing a requested site) are performed on the server side. High speed drawing: One can scroll the viewing page as wishes with mouse-pointer-like controller. High speed switching over from PC view to mobile view. Specification Java application for MIDP 2.0. (Officially supported mobiles are added through running reports in Wiki.) Conforms with HTML 4.01. Supports basic certification. Supports SSL. Supports FORM. Supports FRAME, IFRAME. Supports tab function (handles up to 15 tabs at once). High speed scrolling with mouse-pointer-like controller. High speed switching over from PC view to mobile view. Doesn't support CSS (ibisBrowserDX supporting CSS is underdeveloped). Doesn't support JavaScript. Doesn't support Flash. Doesn't support movie pictures. Technology preview At present ibisBrowserDX supports only several kinds of mobile phones.
