Vocus, Inc (NASDAQ: VOCS), a leading provider of on-demand software for public relations management, and Netvibes, the pioneer of the personalized homepage
today announced a partnership to provide Netvibes' millions of users
with quick and easy access to news and multimedia content from Vocus' online news distribution service, PRWeb.
"We are constantly looking for opportunities to extend PRWeb's vast
network of online distribution channels," said Bill Wagner, chief
marketing officer of Vocus, Inc. "Through the Netvibes partnership, our
PRWeb customers will see an increase in the online visibility of their
news and an expansion of their audience."
PRWeb news releases and podcasts will be available through the Netvibes Ecosystem as well as the newly created PRWeb Universe,
a PRWeb-branded customizable news page within Netvibes.com. Netvibes'
AJAX-based technology allows users to easily create their own
customized homepage by dragging and dropping content into different
locations, giving users the ability to easily add the PRWeb RSS feeds
to their specialized homepages.
In addition, visitors to PRWeb will have the ability to create and
upload a news feed to a Netvibes account with the click of a mouse.
"With 10 million RSS feeds pulled every month, PRWeb's position as a
leader in RSS will further solidify the Netvibes Ecosystem's position
as the web's foremost collection of personalized media content," said
Netvibes Founder and CEO, Tariq Krim.
