A 3-Day Hands-on Seminar on Using Lightweight Java Framework

July 12, 2007; 03:41 AM
At the Warwick Denver Hotel, between July 27 and 29, 2007, Open Source Live's seminar on lightweight framework for enterprise application development gives developers a chance to hone their skills and interact with the gurus of the field. Not to mention a chance to win an iPhone for the first 15 registrants!

"We believe that developers learn and understand best by doing hands-on exercises, not by simply reading or watching," says P. Vilas Tulachan of Open Source Live. "Our Denver seminar will immerse its participants, for three days, in a Java-intensive environment, so they emerge as more skilled and confident professionals at the end of it."

Open Source Live will bring to the Warwick Denver Hotel a group of leading experts in the field, who will teach practical approaches to AJAX, Spring, JavaServer Faces, Hibernate, and Maven. These experts include Kito Mann, author of "JSF In Action"; Sang Shin, a Java technology architect and evangelist at Sun Microsystems; and Bill Dudney, author or three books, who will teach developers how to build robust applications using Maven.

The small developer-to-expert ratio makes the seminars much more personal, so that participants can shape discussions as they wish, asking tougher questions and getting expert answers immediately. The seminar is also an ideal place to network for developers in the Denver area.

The seminar is priced at $1,395 per participant, a fee that includes breakfast, lunch, coffee on all days, as well as pizza and soda during the Open Forum in the evenings. Registrations before July 14, 2007, will get a whopping discount of $300 on the seminar, and $200 if they register before July 21. The first 15 paid registrants will have a chance to win an iPhone when they use the promo code "iPhone03" when registering..

Although the Open Forums are free for all attendees, pre-registration is required. The Open Forum will feature William Kanaan of Google, who will share his experiences and talk about best practices in Distributed Agile Development.

Registration is already open and available at http://www.OpenSourceLive.com/Denver/ Open Source Live offers a money-back guarantee, minus a $50 processing charge, until the lunch break of the first day of the seminar.
