Lyris Enhances EmailAdvisor Deliverability Solution with Updated ISP Reports and Email Client Previews

July 12, 2007; 03:16 AM
Lyris® Technologies (http://www.lyris.com), an email marketing solution from J.L. Halsey (OTCBB:JLHY), today unveiled EmailAdvisor 3.0 – the latest version of its email deliverability monitoring tool. Updated to include all major ISPs and email clients, including Microsoft Outlook 2007, AOL AIM Mail and Windows Live Mail, EmailAdvisor 3.0 lets users preview their messages both with images enabled and with images blocked – helping email marketers send messages with confidence, regardless of the disparate limitations of various email platforms.

EmailAdvisor (http://www.lyris.com/products/emailadvisor/) shows users how their emails render in every major email program, monitors inbox and ISP delivery status and provides a message content checker. The latest version adds Yahoo Australia, Ozemail.au, and UK ISPs Demon and NTLWorld to its list of more than 50 major email clients and ISPs. It also now supports double-byte languages, including all forms of Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

“As email client rendering and sender reputation become increasingly important to marketers, having the most up-to-date deliverability tools is critical to email marketing success,” said Dave Dabbah, Lyris’ Director of Marketing. “Email requirements and protocols are constantly changing, and EmailAdvisor evolves along with them - greatly increasing deliverability confidence. It’s a powerful tool for communicators, one that will help them implement successful campaigns even as they face new deliverability and rendering issues at every turn,” Dabbah adds.

New features in Version 3.0 give users more control over what EmailAdvisor tests and how those results are presented. Customers can now choose which ISPs and email clients to test against, getting audits and reports tailored to their specific needs. A new customizable Alert Manager lets users create alerts so they will be notified when thresholds have been met or certain actions occur during the content analysis, blacklist monitoring or deliverability scoring.

Lyris enhanced EmailAdvisor’s user interface and added breadcrumb navigation throughout the product for increased usability. The result is a more intuitive organization of reports and data, featuring summary views of key information and improved report layout with relevant quick-links.

Tess Harizanos from Inbox Marketer manages email campaigns for her clients. She tested the beta version of EmailAdvisor 3.0 and says she’s already noticed an increase in speed, performance and usability. “We get results and reports much faster now, so in turn we’re able to respond to our campaigns more quickly and adapt as needed. It presents information in a way that’s organized and easy to find, ultimately saving me time.”

For the redesigned user interface, Lyris moved to the Microsoft.Net development framework and AJAX, significantly improving the company’s ability to deliver cutting-edge features and usability.
