June 1, 2007; 09:21 AM

Burlington, MA ¾ June 1, 2007 ¾ Nexaweb Technologiesâ, Inc., provider of the leading standards-based platform for building and deploying Enterprise Web 2.0 (EW2.0) applications, today announced it has been selected for the fifth annual SD TIMES 100 ¾ a list of the companies and organizations that demonstrated the greatest innovation and leadership in the software development industry in 2006 as selected by IT trade newspaper SD Times.  Nexaweb won in the Web Development category for its technology agnostic approach to Enterprise Web 2.0 application development and deployment.

The citation recognizing Nexaweb as a top business in the Web Development category positions the company as providing, “A simple path from old-world applications to new-world Web interfaces, be they Java or AJAX.  A pioneer in the RIA space keeps getting it right.”

“The winners of this year’s SD Times 100 awards have demonstrated their leadership in shaping the software development industry,” said David Rubinstein, Editor-in-Chief of SD Times.  “We took into account each nominee’s products and services, its reputation among development managers, and the new ideas it brought out.  These select individuals and organizations are the ones we’ve identified as helping to move the art of development forward.”

“This recognition from SD Times further validates Nexaweb’s open, standards-based approach toward Enterprise Web 2.0 development,” said Chris Heidelberger, CEO at Nexaweb.  “Many enterprises have invested heavily in IT personnel and infrastructure and cannot afford a rip-and-replace migration path.  The Nexaweb Enterprise Web 2.0 platform is designed specifically around the principles of integration, asset re-use and universal application deployment, so organizations can cost-effectively deploy mission critical applications over the Web.”

The fifth annual SD Times 100 was published in today’s issue of BZ Media’s SD Times and on sdtimes.com.
