Roundarch Presents 2006 Annual Interactive Experience Awards

April 20, 2007; 05:57 AM
Roundarch, a user-centric Web design and technology services provider, today announced it has awarded its 2006 Interactive Experience Award to two recipients: Max Carnecchia, President of Interwoven and Jeremy Geelan, Group Publisher & Editorial Director, SYS-CON Media. The Roundarch Interactive Experience Awards are given to companies and individuals that best represent the advancement of Web experiences through the integration of user-centric design and advanced technology.

"We singled out these two individuals for very similar reasons: leadership with evolving and emerging technologies. Max Carnecchia is leading Interwoven into the next era of content management across the Web. Jeremy Geelan has been a leading evangelist and critical thinker in the Web 2.0 movement that is reshaping how people experience the Web," said Jeff Maling, President and Chief Experience Officer at Roundarch.

"Interwoven continues to evolve its technologies in creative, forward thinking ways in order to meet the demand for content across a variety of enterprise channels," added Geoff Cubitt, Roundarch Co-President and Chief Technology Officer.

The emergence of Web 2.0 technologies will extend the power of Interwoven's framework and transform the Web into a richer, more interactive and ultimately more profitable online experience. Jeremy Geelan has been challenging the global technology community to be smart about how the next generation of the Web is developed. The evolution of Rich Internet Applications, AJAX, broadband and Service-Orientated Architecture are creating a new paradigm of Web experiences.

"Jeremy has been a voice of clarity as this next generation of the Web is being redefined and going through its expected growing pains. The overstated promises of Web 1.0 and accompanying irrational exuberance are in stark contrast to the Jeremy's sober, well informed and insightful evangelization of today's interactive possibilities," remarked Charles Fiesel, Roundarch Managing Director and frequent speaker and writer about Web 2.0.

Max Carnecchia was presented with his Interactive Experience Award at Interwoven's 2007 World-Wide Kick-Off meeting held in San Francisco on January 15, 2007. Jeremy Geelan was presented with his Award at AJAXWorld in New York City on March 20, 2007.

Previous Interactive Experience Award winners include: David Mendels, Senior Vice President of the Enterprise and Developer Solutions Business Unit at Adobe; David Temkin, Founder of Laszlo Systems; and Coach Wei, Founder of NexaWeb Technologies - for their pioneering efforts in the Rich Internet Application (RIA) space.
