Asentinel 5.0 Touts Expanded Reporting, AJAX TechnologyApril 19, 2007; 02:34 AM Asentinel 5.0 features enhanced reporting and business intelligence capabilities, as well a Java-based EDI translator written by Asentinel software engineers. The new software imports invoices up to 16X faster than previous versions. In addition, Asentinel 5.0’s optimized code means the software has less customer database and hardware requirements than previous versions. “Asentinel 5.0 is the result of a cumulative effort on the part of our customers and our software engineers to provide the world’s best TEM software,” said David C. Perdue, Asentinel CEO. “In a day when most new software versions require more computing power than previous versions, Asentinel is once again redefining the norm and providing new features that require less computing power. We’re making it easier than ever for our customers to gain permanent control over telecom.” Asentinel 5.0 uses cutting edge AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) technology to power its latest business intelligence engine. The AJAX technology, recently used by software engineers for Web applications such as Google Earth and Gmail, allows Web pages to be continuously updated directly from the Web server, eliminating the need for users to manually refresh content. For Asentinel 5.0 users, the constant link to the latest cutting-edge technology means access to advanced management of TEM expenses, budgets, vendors, contracts, and forecasts. The improved business intelligence leads to enhanced and streamlined reporting. All reports can be named, saved, viewed, scheduled, converted to a PDF or auto-distributed for maximum client usability. “When Asentinel introduced the first customer-hosted TEM solution in 2001, the industry took note,” said Jason Fisher, chief software architect for Asentinel. “Now, Asentinel 5.0 continues a tradition of providing our customers with TEM software on the cutting edge of technology.” Asentinel’s introduction of the first TEM customer-hosted model with Regions Bank, formerly Union Planters Bank, proved to be a success and redefined expectations of what TEM could do. Asentinel’s software combined Regions’ telecom inventory, contracts and invoices in one centralized repository and automated the auditing and allocation of these expenses. Regions went from having an annual audit of telecom bills to having its invoices automatically compared to contracts, inventory and configurable business rules in real time. When the Asentinel software was implemented at Regions, the software found more than $500,000 worth of savings that had been missed during its previous manual audits. “From the first customer-hosted implementation to the latest release of Asentinel 5.0, Asentinel continues to reach new heights in the TEM industry,” said Perdue. Asentinel’s Web-based software has more than 50 cumulative years of development behind it. Asentinel continues to grow its list of Fortune 1000 companies and government entities that realize the power of automated telecom expense management.
