Zoho Showcases Comprehensive Office 2.0 Suite at Web 2.0 Expo and SaaScon

April 16, 2007; 09:50 AM
As Office 2.0 continues its evolution from novelty to necessity, Zoho continues to earn industry respect, building its reputation as a leading provider of Web-based applications for collaborative business. This month, the company will speak and exhibit at Web 2.0 Expo and SaaScon, showcasing its growing Office 2.0 suite and sharing insights gleaned from its experience providing customers with the industry's broadest set of affordable, high-quality Office 2.0 services.

"SaaS and Web 2.0 technologies give vendors the power to put their customers on a
pedestal, which is where customers should be," said Zoho evangelist Raju Vegesna. "Zoho enjoys a level of customer interactivity and responsiveness that simply was not possible a few short years ago. Now, we rely on that feedback to give our customers exactly what they want, improving our service offerings and our customers' satisfaction. I think that's a message that will resonate with Web 2.0 Expo and SaaScon crowds."

Zoho at Web 2.0 Expo

At Web 2.0 Expo, Zoho will be in Expo Hall, Booth #321, showcasing the latest additions to its Zoho Office Suite. The show is being held April 15-18, 2007, at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco.

In "SMBx: The Revolution of the SMB Application Marketplace," Zoho's Vegesna joins fellow panelists Danny Kolke, president and CEO, Etelos; Don Campbell, technical evangelist, Microsoft Live; and Jonathan Rochelle, project manager, Google, to discuss the future of SMB applications and who really owns the electronic solutions available to SMBs today. The session will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 8:30am - 9:20am in room 2014.

Zoho at SaaScon

At SaaScon, Zoho will be in Booth #416, showcasing the latest applications in the Zoho Office Suite. The show is being held April 17-18, 2007, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

In "The Ingredients of SaaS Collaboration," Sridhar Vembu, CEO of AdventNet, the company behind Zoho, addresses the impact of SaaS on collaboration technologies from document management, to office suites and communication tools. Vembu will be joined by Jeff Kaplan, managing director, THINKstrategies; and Erik Larson, director of knowledge worker hosted services, Adobe Systems, Inc. This session will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 11:45am - 12:30pm.

Zoho on Fire

Listening to its customers has prompted Zoho to release, on average, one new service every month for the past 15 months. All of the services in Zoho's constantly-expanding Office 2.0 suite have been favorably received, including the recent additions, Zoho Meetings and Zoho Notebook.

Blogger Jane Lasarenko writes, "I just keep getting more and more satisfied with the range and functionality of Zoho!" Lasarenko's sentiments are mirrored by Leo Babauta, who posted the following at lifehack.org, "Perhaps the best online alternative to the Google Docs & Spreadsheets, Zoho has just about everything you'd ever need: a spreadsheet, word processor, presentation program, project manager, notebook, wiki, web conferencing, mail, chat, database and CRM. This might actually be my choice of the future."

While satisfied customers are crowning Zoho an Office 2.0 leader, industry watchers are honoring the company as well. Gartner, Inc. recently included Zoho in its "Cool Vendors in Web 2.0, 2007" report. Zoho has also been recognized in PC World's "101 Fantastic Freebies" and "The Web's Most Useful Sites," Forbes' "The Best Web-Based Computer Applications for Small Business," and CRN's "Review: The Best Ajax-based Apps."
