With the announcement of the free Discovery edition of its eDeveloper
software, Magic Software Enterprises is launching a
contest to reward the developer who comes up with the "coolest"
application.
Software applications created with eDeveloper Discovery edition will be judged for their innovation, design, quality, the use of eDeveloper advanced features and the holistic solution created.
Amit Ben-Zvi, VP Marketing and Products, says, "We want everyone to be able to experience the power of eDeveloper,
and we intend to have fun with this contest. It's always amazing to see
how creative people can be, both in the nature and scope of development
projects, and in the ways they find to develop and deploy those
applications."
Entries for the contest must be received by Magic Software no later
than April 30, 2007. The winners of the contest will be announced on
May 15, 2007 and two Apple iPOD's will be awarded.
Magic Software's eDeveloper is a metadata-driven, rules-based platform
and application development framework. The Enterprise edition of
eDeveloper allows users to create full client/server or Web
applications, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)-enabled
applications. The eDeveloper Studio Discovery edition,
however, is designed for use by students, new developers, and those
developing applications for personal use and is available
free-of-charge. eDeveloper Discovery allows developers new to Magic
Software's offering to explore the product's capabilities to develop
and deploy basic Windows client and Web applications.
