ComponentOne(R) Releases Studio Enterprise(TM) 2006 v3 - Delivers New .NET and 'ATLAS-ready' ASP.NET Products Focused on Accelerating Visual Development

ComponentOne released ComponentOne® Studio Enterprise(TM) 2006 v3, the world's most comprehensive component toolset for Windows, Web, and Mobile application development. This new version of ComponentOne's flagship development solution adds support for ATLAS, the latest emerging Web development technology, and delivers several new products and features focused on simplifying the design time experience and accelerating visual development.

The latest release of ComponentOne Studio Enterprise introduces new components including WebSplitter for ASP.NET, the first ever server-side "ATLAS" control; WebInput for ASP.NET, a new suite of 5 data input controls; SuperToolTip for .NET, a new product for adding Windows Vista-style elements to .NET applications; NavBar and TopicBar, two new components included in Menus and Toolbars for .NET; ATLAS interoperability across the entire ASP.NET product line; AJAX support in WebChart for ASP.NET; and adds new chart types to Chart for .NET and WebChart for ASP.NET including cylindrical, cone and pyramid charts.

New Highlights in Studio Enterprise 2006 v3:

ATLAS Functionality
     - ATLAS Interoperability: Studio Enterprise now includes a full suite of AJAX-enabled ASP.NET components that fully interoperate with the Microsoft "ATLAS" Framework.
     - Server-Side "ATLAS" Control: WebUpdateSplitter, the first server-side "ATLAS" control, AJAX-enables any content or 3rd party component automatically - with no code.

ASP.NET Functionality
     - WebSplitter and WebUpdateSplitter for ASP.NET: This new product allows you to add flexible layouts to ASP.NET applications including horizontal/vertical splits, resizable, scrollable, collapsible and even AJAX-enabled (ATLAS) panels, client-side interactivity, plus more.
     - WebInput for ASP.NET: This new product includes a collection of 5 different input controls; WebMaskEdit, WebDateEdit, WebNumericEdit, WebPercentEdit, and WebCurrencyEdit.
     - Optimized ASP.NET Rendering: WebMenus and WebBars for ASP.NET components have been re-architected and the HTML output for these controls has been drastically reduced by up to 80% or more.

.NET Functionality
     - .NET Releases:
          - NavBar and TopicBar for .NET: Two new components allow you to add advanced Panels and Outlook 2003-style navigation elements to .NET applications.
          - SuperToolTip for .NET: This new product includes rich ToolTip and Label components for adding Windows Vista-style elements to the ToolTips and Labels in your .NET applications.
     - SmartDesigners: SmartDesigners, ComponentOne's unique visual development feature, have been added to Preview for .NET and Menus and Toolbars for .NET.
     - Charting Features:
          - 3 New Chart Types: Create sophisticated WinForms and WebForms charts with the new cylindrical bar chart, cone chart and pyramid chart styles.
          - WebChart for ASP.NET is AJAX-enabled: Eliminate post-backs and increase end-user interactivity.

ComponentOne Studio Enterprise customers will receive the full suite of components built on the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, as well as a full suite of components compiled natively for the .NET Framework 2.0. The full version of ComponentOne Studio Enterprise has an MSRP of $999.99. Current ComponentOne customers can upgrade to ComponentOne Studio Enterprise for $749.99. Renewal pricing for current subscribers is available for $599.99.
