Volantis Adds SurfKitchen to GetBuzz Partner Program

Volantis, the world’s leading supplier of Intelligent Content Adaptation™ solutions for the Mobile Information Age, today announced the addition of SurfKitchen to its GetBuzz™ Partner Program. GetBuzz leverages Volantis partner user interface (UI) solutions to enhance the delivery of its BuzzCast™ personalized news and entertainment application.

SurfKitchen – and previously announced Volantis partners Cibenix and MSX – can now enable wireless carriers to present compelling subscriber-preference content directly on mobile devices, based on each partner’s unique UI client solution. SurfKitchen is a proven provider of On-Device Portal (ODP) solutions, supporting the industry’s leading handset manufacturers, including HTC, LG, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Samsung. Today, the SurfKitchen client can be pre-installed on approximately 60% of the mobile devices shipping globally.

BuzzCast provides consumers with dynamic mobile “home screens” for greater context, immediacy and personalization. It pushes compelling information to any device, personalizing it based on each subscriber’s unique preferences. BuzzCast supports the creation of subscriber UIs to suit each carrier’s device strategy. UI technologies supported by Volantis’ partners include AJAX, RSS Client, Flash, J2ME, BREW, Microsoft Mobile and native Symbian.
