Pandesa Corporation announced the availability of Pandesa ShareVault, the company's on-demand virtual deal room for across-the-firewall document sharing during mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, technology licensing, complex real estate deals, syndicated loans and other high-value transactions.

Up and running in hours - not days - ShareVault is the first virtual data room that users can deploy themselves, right from the ShareVault Web site. A step-by-step wizard guides the user through the ShareVault configuration process. Documents are uploaded via a fast, encrypted connection by dragging and dropping multiple files and/or entire folders. For paper documents, scanning services are also available.

Documents uploaded to the ShareVault are automatically converted to PDF with support for more than 300 file types including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and hundreds of others. ShareVault contents are organized via a flexible, tag-based structure, supporting due-diligence list terms and/or other deal-related processes. ShareVault also features a tightly integrated full-text search engine, visual content browsing and in-place editing of tags and permissions.

High-grade security and reliability

Security features include 128-bit encryption, document-level access control, and audit trail capabilities. ShareVault is delivered from a SAS-70 part II compliant data center, with hardware and infrastructure redundancy, to ensure the high-grade reliability needed for critical deals.

A new breed of business application

ShareVault is the first virtual deal room to incorporate functionality based on "Web 2.0" - a recent movement in internet-based services toward higher interactivity. "Our design objective was to dramatically accelerate deals by leveraging recent advancements in web-based software. We've incorporated state-of-the-art AJAX technology to deliver a rich, interactive user experience," said Richard Andersen, Pandesa's CEO. AJAX, meaning Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, is a software technology that delivers desktop-like functionality in a Web-based application. For example, search results are displayed with zoom-able thumbnail images to facilitate efficient document browsing.

Customer affirmation

ShareVault is already hosting important deals for a billion-dollar Silicon Valley corporation, and Pandesa management expects to be hosting several other major deals shortly.

Users can try before they buy

After attending the webinar, users can quickly setup a ShareVault and use it on a real deal before committing to purchase. This "self-serve" capability allows companies to reduce the time required to prepare for a transaction. Interested firms can sign up for a webinar at www.sharevault.com.
