Backbase Launches AJAX Struts Edition

Backbase, provider of AJAX-based Rich Internet Application (RIA) software and solutions, announced the Backbase AJAX Struts Edition. The combining of Struts with AJAX extends the lifetime of Struts applications by adding a richer user interface, without having to rebuild the entire application. Backbase-powered Rich Internet Applications improve end-user productivity, increase customer satisfaction and can make significant sales contributions to a company’s bottom line.

Existing Struts applications are limited by the inherent shortcomings of HTML, which was originally developed to display static documents. Organizations attempting to modernize these applications encounter several obstacles, such as the lack of appropriate tools or developer skills. The Backbase AJAX Struts Edition addresses this by providing a richer and more interactive presentation tier technology, which can be integrated in a step-by-step fashion by anyone with Struts web development knowledge.
