Stampede Technologies Announces First Installations of Acceleration On-Demand Technology

Stampede Technologies Inc. (www.stampede.com), provider of enterprise acceleration solutions, announced its latest innovation in client technology, Acceleration On-Demand. Acceleration On-Demand enables enterprises to fully leverage bi-directional acceleration without the need to install hardware or software at remote locations. Several large customers with thousands of end users have been testing Acceleration On-Demand throughout the summer.

The Stampede Application Acceleration Serieswith Acceleration On-Demand delivers acceleration through the use of a two-sided architecture to maximize performance. By using hardware appliances and software client technology, Stampede is able to provide a strategic solution that offers functionality typically requiring hardware appliances in all locations. The Stampede Application Acceleration Series offers acceleration and WAN optimization for traditional HTTP/HTTPS, legacy TCP and emerging Web 2.0/AJAX applications. In addition, Stampede's solutions offer application front-end services for Firewalling, Load Balancing and server off-loading of TCP connection management and SSL processing.

This new technology is the latest in a family of solutions from Stampede for accelerating enterprise applications. In addition to Acceleration On-Demand, Stampede offers installable client technology for Layer 7 Browser applications and Layer 5 Winsock applications. These various client deployment models enhance the usability of the Stampede Application Acceleration Series and the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series(TM); the latter of which was selected as a finalist for this year's Best of Interop Awards in the Performance Category. The Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series extends the functionality of the Stampede Application Acceleration Series for high performance XML acceleration, Schema Validation and Threat Management services.

Both the Stampede Application Acceleration Series and Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series appliances are built on industry-standard hardware and software platforms, utilizing the full power of Linux and 64-bit hardware. The new Acceleration On-Demand client technology leverages the Win32 environment to automatically inject itself into the downloaded Web page to optimize XML, AJAX, HTTP, HTTPS and .NET environments.
