Vertex Logic announced the availability of
ajaxProject 1.0 beta, a next generation project management application
built using Web 2.0 technologies. ajaxProject improves team
collaboration by sharing a number of project plans through browsers.
ajaxProject is a packaged application that is installed on the server
machine. Team members access it by simply pointing their browsers to
the server.
Vertex Logic’s VP of Product, Mohan Late said, “The
conventional desktop applications have failed in delivering visibility
into project plans and facilitate true collaboration. They require
installation on each machine and do not let users update project plans
in shared mode. As a result, the project plans are typically ignored by
the team members. By making it simple to access, allowing simultaneous
updates and retaining desktop applications’ usability, a team is more
likely to use a project management application.”
The community version of ajaxProject is freely available. The community edition can be used for a team of up to 20 members.
