"Even though AJAX wouldn't ever have become so popular if the Javascript world hadn't suddenly exploded, there's little information on how to be a really good Javascript programmer"

Programmer and writer Amy Hoy has placed online the materials from a 3-hour tutorial she gave at this year's O'Reilly Open Source Conference.  In her words, the turorial is intended "for everyone who feels their JavaScript skills just aren't up to snuff."

The JavaScript Boot Camp is available in the form of a comprehensive (and somewhat witty, in a programmer's kind of way) PDF presentation, source code for all exercises, and links to resources and developers that were mentioned in the talk.  The tutorials covers JavaScript syntax, the Document Object Model (DOM), debugging, and working with the Prototype JavaScript framework.

Previously, Amy Hoy appeared on JSS in connection to a cheatsheet for the JavaScript library Scriptaculous.
