Amazon.com has implemented an Ajax book reader with the “Search Inside” option on their website.

The AmazonOnlineReader (as identified on its page) allows you to check out the various sections - the front cover, excerpts, and the book’s index, with one click on the menu. The content  appears in the viewing pane on the right with controls to page forward or page back .  Ajax technology's most recognizable feature - lack of page reloads, is instantly evident.

There is also a top bar with  additional options - the ability to change views, highlight sections, bookmark a page, copy information and print directly from the book.

The new feature is available for all books that are allowed for preview.
