Security website Secunia.com reported a vulnerability in the Firefox web browser.  The execution of abnormal Javascript "can be exploited to corrupt the (browser) memory and cause a crash." The weakness can lead to a DoS (Denial of Service).

Until a patch is available, Secunia recomends users to turn off JavaScript, when visiting untrusted sites.

The flaw, rated as "non critical", is caused due to an error in the handling of unexpected "contentWindow.focus()" JavaScript calls.

The weakness has been confirmed in version 1.5.0.2. Other versions may also be affected. News of the vulnerability came five days after Mozilla announced two "critical" flaws affecting Firefox.
