Microsoft released a new community technology preview (CTP) version of its Atlas web development framework. This month's build is primarily a bug fix and UpdatePanel enhancement release. Users "are encouraged to experiment with the preview technology and provide feedback on the forums." “Atlas” makes it possible for developers to easily take advantage of AJAX techniques and create ASP.NET pages with a rich,
responsive UI and server communication. The rich client framework can be used to build client-centric web applications that integrate with any backend
data provider and run on most modern browsers.
Downloads and the full list of changes for the new release are available at atlas.asp.net/.
